Emmalene is a compassionate and dedicated Psychologist who truly believes in the wisdom that we bring to our own life story. She understands the unique challenges that people face across the lifespan and is committed to supporting them at every step of their journey.
With extensive experience working with complex mental health presentations, Emmalene takes the time to connect with the various systems within which a person belongs and seeks to strengthen understanding and collaboration.
Emmalene's therapeutic style is characterised by a quality of calm she offers a non-judgmental, reassuring approach that is delivered with psychologically informed perspectives and practices.

Emmalene offers both in person sessions in a newly appointed suites or Telehealth sessions.
Psychological Therapy and Assessment
Emmalene offers a range of treatment modalities including CBT, DBT, Narrative Therapy, Solution focused Therapy and is currently learning EMDR.

Emmalene offers diagnostic assessment for children and adults. She works closely with Schools, Allied Health Professionals, Paediatricians and Psychiatrists to deliver comprehensive reports to aid treatment and inform support implementation.
Child and Family Therapy
Tailored therapeutic support for children and families in Tweed Heads and the Gold Coast. Emmalene provides creative, age-appropriate interventions that will suit your family's age and stage.

Eating Disorder Treatment
Emmalene has a special interest in providing evidence based, therapies including FBT and CBTe, for young people and their families to support recovery from Eating Disorders.

Non-Directive Pregnancy Counselling
Non-directive counselling for pregnancy and postpartum support. Support for couples suffering pregnancy loss. Liaison with Pregnancy Care Team available.
Clinical Supervison
Emmalene is an approved Psychology Board of Australia, supervisor. Emmalene is also a Teaching Associate for Southern Cross University, Health Faculty and supports students undertaking their initial practicums. Emmalene's supportive style is motivated by a desire to ensure that the community continues to benefit from high quality Psychological services into the future.

Please speak with your General Practitioner or Psychiatrist regarding eligibility to a mental health care plan to access Medicare rebated Psychology sessions.

Emmalene also collaborates with the Heart of Love Foundation to provide cost effective Mental Health support to residents in the 2484 area
(by arrangement).​
